THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible, being the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the infallible Word of God, uniquely and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, and the supreme and final authority on all matters on which it speaks.

ONE GOD

We believe in one God, the sovereign Creator and Sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

3 —

JESUS CHRIST

We believe in Jesus Christ, who became flesh through his miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and was born of a virgin. He is both fully God and fully man. He was crucified and died on the cross, as a willing sacrifice for our sins, according to the Scriptures. On the third day, he arose bodily from the dead. He ascended into heaven where he is positioned at the right hand of God. He is now our High Priest and Mediator.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who has come to apply the saving work of Christ to our hearts. He convicts of sin and draws us to the Savior. Dwelling within us, he gives us new life, empowers us, and imparts gifts to us for service to God and his mission.

SALVATION

We believe that salvation comes only through the receiving of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. In doing so, by God’s grace, we receive the Holy Spirit, and become the adopted children of God and heirs of eternal life.

6 —

THE CHURCH

The Church is composed of all persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ and the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, are united together in the body of Christ. The Church finds her expression in local congregations where the Word of God is preached in its purity and the sacraments are administered in their integrity; where scriptural discipline is practiced, and where loving fellowship is maintained.

THE RETURN OF CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ will return to the earth—personally, visibly, and bodily—to judge the living and the dead, fulfilling the eternal plan of God.

8 —

THE GREAT COMMISSION

We believe in Jesus Christ’s command to all believers to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world and to make disciples of all peoples.
